Bronwen Stokes

Bronwen completed her studies in Dietetics at the University of Pretoria in 2009 and has gained experience in all areas of dietetics. Her passion for paediatrics and GIT was ignited at Kalafong Hospital where she worked for over 3 years. She has been in private practice since 2011.

Bronwen’s main areas of interest include weight loss, mental health disorders (including depression and emotional eating behaviour), nutrigenomics, gastrointestinal disorders and chronic diseases (diabetes, insulin resistance and heart disease).

Bronwen is involved in various wellness programmes and is dedicated to helping individuals make necessary lifestyle changes to prevent chronic disease and improve their quality of life. She regularly presents nutrition-related talks on a variety of topics. She strives to help all individuals, young and old, improve their overall well-being through an individualized practical approach to healthy eating.

Bronwen is a registered dietician with the HPCSA and ADSA. She is accredited with 3×4 genetics, DNAlysis and Geneway for genetic testing and is part of numerous medical aid wellness networks.

Bronwen is a proud mother of 2 energetic sons and is married to Paul.

Bronwen currently practices at Doringkloof medical centre, Virgin Active Centurion and The Cradle Lodge and Health Spa.

Chantelle van der Merwe

Chantelle is a proud University of Pretoria Dietetics Alumni member. Throughout practicing dietetics, she has gained valuable working experience in general surgical wards, medical wards, ICU and pediatric wards at Kalafong Hospital and Tshwane District Hospital.

Working at Sizwe District hospital she cultivated a special interest in nutritional support for patients with TB, HIV and diabetes.

She is a firm believer in “prevention is better than cure” and is determined to help her clients reach their healthy lifestyles goals and prevent chronic disease with individualized nutrition care and the best available resources.

She has continued to develop her field of interest in diabetes management by completing her post graduate diploma in diabetes management from the University of South Wales. Her passion, and other field of interest for Nutrigenomics (gene and nutrient interactions) continues to grow as it an amazing tool for the prevention and treatment of disease.

Chantelle is a secret “study-holic” who is also busy ticking off a list of sunny travel destinations on the side.

Danielle Van Zyl

Danielle studied at the University of Pretoria, where she graduated with a BDietetics degree in 2018. In 2019 she completed her community service year at Tambo Memorial Hospital, where she gained experience in a variety of areas.

Danielle gained experience in a variety of areas including ICU, paediatrics, medical, orthopaedics and surgery.

Although having a big passion for nutrition, her main areas of interest include weight loss, gut disorders, prenatal nutrition (including pre-conception & breastfeeding), paediatrics, as well as mental health conditions (including disordered eating).

She completed her post graduate certificate in the “Management of Emotional Eaters” and is also broadening her knowledge on vegetarianism and veganism. She is also a registered dietitian with the HPCSA, ADSA and accredited with DNAnalysis genetic testing.

Danielle is dedicated to helping people improve their lifestyle for optimal overall health. Her favorite saying is: “A diet has an end, but lifestyle change is forever”.

It is very important to Danielle that her patient is aware of their condition and understands what it takes to manage/prevent it.

She is married and has a little boy who keeps her on her toes. Family is everything to her. She also enjoys the outdoors and being active.
